DNS refuses CNAME

When I add another sub-domain in my DNS, I may type CNAME records only before adding the NS record. As soon a NS record is present, everything else but A-type is rejected. Why is that ?

Have you tried copying the NS record first, adding the CNAME and then pasting the NS record after? It's been a while since I've configured a CNAME but I seem to remember that worked. Good luck.
