Hi to everybody. I have a NT TCP/IP network with 1 domain. How to get IP adress or PC name with only user logon? How to know if a given user is connected to my network now? There is a tool? THANKS!

If you have access to server manager, you can check which users are attached to which servers or shares with this utility. there is a utility called netinfo.bat that can tell u a computer name if you have a user name. if you would like this utility, email me.

At a command prompt, type in 'nbtstat -c' this will give you a list of the all the computer names (netbios) resolved by broadcast along with the IP address. If you want to find out the current user for each computer type in 'nbtstat -a ' where computername is the computers name without the brackets. This worked for me with a regular user account.

Excuse me pointy brackets don't work here... type in 'nbtstat -a [computername]' where computername is the computers name without the brackets.
