Hi, I have a really weird problem, I have too remote clients that are using WinNT 4, the problem that both of them are having is, when dialing our Internet Service provider through double clicking on Internet Explorer and using Dial up connection screen that pops up, it dials out, modem sounds like it is connecting, but comes back and says "Unable to Establish Connection with Server", now normally I know you get this message when you have inputed somthing wrong, like username or password, but we tried doing the same thing on a test machine with the clients username and password and we connected this way with out a problem. Sot the next thing we tried,on the clients PC, is openening My Computer, Dial up Networking, and clicking Dial, using the same username and password, and it connects to the server with no problems, but when you go back and open Internet Explorer, we get the same error, Unable to establish a connection with server. So i get the client to click ok on the error, then type an address in the address bar and we connect to a web site no problem! I have tried everything, I used PCAnywhere and remotely checked the clients settings and they are exactly the same as our test machines, so there doesn't appear to be a setting problem. If anyone has a solution for me please help, I hope I explained this good enough. Cheers!!!!

Could be a modem problem. Instead of the drivers that came with the modem, try installing it as one of the "standard" modem types that are included with windows. (Note: this won't work with most so-called "PCI win-modems" or "soft-modems"). NT-4 works best with dead-standard external serial modems.
