Hi, I am running WIndows NT4 Server and I have a tape drive connected to a PCI SCSI controller. If I go into Devices in control panel I can see the device listed as INI910 and it is set to "Automatic" but it does not show the device as "Started". If I try and Start the device manually I get the message "Could not start the INI910U service on <servername> Error 0055. The specified network resource or device is no longer available". The server has been rebooted but this makes no difference. Should I try installing the device driver again for the SCSI controller or remove it from the SCSI Devices list in control panel and then add it again. Any thoughts? Thanks Glenn

To start, has it ever worked?

When you boot up do you see the scsi card self announce and does it list the tape drive? What id is the tape drive at?

I have always used the 4mmdat driver. What tape drive is this and is this ini910 the correct device driver?

How is the tape drive terminated? Active terminator or are you using the tape drive for termination.
