desktop icon missing

In our applications server, desktop icons are disappeared.. after logging to network, everytime we need to go to task manager and open the application. we will regularly mcafee antivirus updates. whether it is problem with virus.. or any dll files missing... urgently solution needed..

Hey Shiva, Maybe its a policy, you could check it out. -Use the taskmanager to run c:\winnt\poledit.exe -In the File-menu select "open registry" -go to "local user" -> "shell" -> "restrictions" -See if "Hide all items on desktop" is marked
