Comment:

I have win98 and win200 bet3 loaded with dual boot, they are working fine, win2000 being the default boot. I need help in configuraing so that the win98 is my default boot.
Any help in regards would be greatly appreciated. THe opearting systems are on seprate drives under fat32. I tried configuraing the boot.ini file in c: drive, it still does not allow me the option.

Thanks

Peter

Actually this is super easy, same as NT

All you have to do, is edit the boot.ini. It is read only so change that...and copy and paste the Windows 98 lauch command line above that of the windows 2000 line, and it was that easy....don't forget to change the file back to read only....for safety sake

Cheers

Actually, it is a lot more simple than that. All you have to do is, in Win2k:
Right click on "My Computer"
Select "Properties"
Click the "Advanced" tab
Click "Startup and Recovery"
At the top, there is a pull-down menu that lets you choose the default operating system.

Editing the boot.ini file does work, but this is how Win2k likes it done, and it works
