I have NT4.0 SP4 on an NTFS drive and my HAL.DLL file is corrupted. I cannot run NT now, and I can't access the NTFS drive from W95.

Please help Urgently!!

Reinstall using winnt32 in the i386 folder - upgrade install! Do it from the option menu.

Settings will remain the same - an fucken use SP5 at least.

i dont think that you can do a re-install on an already created NTFS drive, if you can get your hands on an NTFSDOS boot disk, then you can boot to that and copy the hal from another machine or even expand it from an NT CD onto another machine. by the way we have over 15000 machine using f_cken SP4 with no problems, sp5 isnt gonna make the problem go away!!!!!

Pirate and Geo, thanks for your comments.

I have loaded Win2000 on my FAT drive so I can copy HAL.DLL onto my NTFS drive. For some reason, Win2000 cannot read any of the folders on my NTFS drive.

Do you have any ideas why this might be happening? I thought Win2000 should read NTFS drives!
