Hello. I'm sure you guys gets this all the time. My laptop is running slowly sometimes. Additionally, sometimes the entire screen changes to a different format which changes back as soon as I move the mouse. Here's my info from hijackthis. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

you need to run task manager and end the pctspk.exe process.

This is the modem speaker app, so it is safe to end.

I have to end this process 2/3 times a week as I am not aware of a permanent fix

Using the run command line, enter in "msconfig". Uncheck the box adjacent to"pctspk.exe" on the startup tab. Problem solved. Instructions taken from :
