Comment: I am trying to move a WinNT workstation from an NT domain to A win2K Active Directory domain. I keep getting a message that the trust has not been established and I cannot log onto the new domain. Any ideas?

Reply: (edit)Hi Pete, hi everyoneWin2K Active Directory isn't in my field of expertise yet, but here is what I would try to do. Take the WinNT workstation out of the WinNT Domain, by placing it in to a Workgroup instead of the Domain (Network neighborhood, General tab, Change button). Reboot, and logon locally, reverse the above. Thus instead of the Workgroup change to the Win2K Active Directory Domain, may need to create a computer account in the Win2K Domain first. All of this I would do with a account that has Administrator privileges in both Domains. Hope it's of any help. Best Regards and Wishes, The Count, Co-webmaster of mesich.com

Reply: (edit)Count's exactly correct. :) Almost. :) You don't need to create the computer in AD. You can use an account with the authority to add machines to AD. Domain Admin, Master. etc...
