problem: l setup a password in win 9x which is validated by the server. lmmediatly after this, l am prompted for a new windows password in the PC, and none of the previous password is acknowledged.
The frist password it asks you for is for your network logon. The second password is for your windows logon. If you want to disable the second password all you have to do is change the password to be blank. After that the popup box for the second password will not show up ever again. If you don't know what the password for the second one is supposed to be you can reset it. To reset it, boot the computer and hit escape to go through all of the logon popup boxes. Once Windows 95 is up you will need to reboot into Dos. In the windows directory you will need to delete the file (username).pwl ex. abrown.pwl Once you delete that file reboot. The network login box will come up first. Login normally, after that a second box will come up asking you what you want the password for you windows logon to be. It will already have the first password box filled in with the password from the network login. Blank out the first password box and leave the second one blank also. After you do this you will not be bothered by that second logon box ever again.
Summary: Help please. I am unable to delete a couple of files from our NT 4.0 server. When I delete the files they appear to go away but then return upon doing a refresh on the view of the directory. Any help...
Summary: Can anyone recommend software that will allow me to have multiple connections simultaneously on a cable modem that is connected to an NT 4.0 server? Thanks...
