I have a problem at the moment getting my Certificate server to work. I have installed Certificate server onto my Primary Domain controller and got the Root CA installed on the server and the client PC I need a secure connection from. The problem I have is when I try to "Request a Client authentication certificate". Origonally after entering the information I could only download the ASP file. After reading up I discovered there was an issue requesting a client certificate using IE6 as the certificate server was released when IE4 was the mail browser. So after searching the web I've followed all the guide lines. I've reinstalled IE6, reinstalled Service Pack 6a and all the current hot fixes. On top of that I have edited the browscap.ini file and amended the text so the Enrollment form will recognise IE6 as a valid browser but no matter what I try I get the same error which is
Line 78 Char 7 Error: Object doesn't support this property or method Code 0 URL:http://localhost/certsrv/certenroll/ceenroll.asp
After going over this error I get a pop up telling me that I've submitted an empty string.
From what I've read, installing SP6 and/or IE6 should resolve this problem. After installing them I have to re-edit the browscap.ini file and I still get the same results i.e I can't install the client certificate.
