We need a cd-rw preferably portable at work.
I have been unable to find one that works with NT.

Any ideas?

They all work on NT. If not you have been doing something wrong.

I have seen some trouble with the SCSI units but not with the IDE models.

I use adaptec SCSI board (2740) with Philips CD Writer 2600 (SCSI boxe with it own power supply)and Easy CD creator de luxe from Adaptec. Every thing works the first time I installed it. (Easy CD Creator works very well with NT (4.0 with SP 5 or SP 6)
