Tried to burn stuff onto a CD, and when I took it to the school to unload it, it says that there is nothing on the CD. What would be the problem?

Not all old CDROM read burns CD you will need to check on the net to see if it reads CDR or CDRW also try changing the Burning rate to a slower rate this sometimes helps.

Are you using macs or pc's at school? As for a cd drive not reading a cd-r......if your cd drive is so old it can't read cd-r's I think it's time for your school to upgrade thier pc's to something from atleast the late 90's....... You may also want to try a cd-r that has a light colored dye on the recording surface, this tends to make a huge difference with stuborn drives also.

We are using PC's at our college. The computers are Intel Pentium 4 Windows 2000/Windows NT Workstation 4.0 More that 1.5 GHZ of memory.
I burned the cd at home, brought it to the college, and the computers won't read it.
