I installed an MP3 maker and it did the same thing to me. As for that, I am still trying to figure out what it screwed up on me. The general way to disable autoplay is with a Windows policy setting in the registry. At:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

there should be a DWord value called "NoDriveTypeAutoRun". The default value for this is 0x95h, 149d. That's the first plac I'd check if I were you. Make sure it's the default. If the value can be And'ed with 20h and produce 20h, your CD-ROM autoplay is disabled.

If you would like to enable the CD-ROM AutoRun, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select Run in the Start menu, type regedit to run the Registry Editor.
Step 2: In the key
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
change the value of Autorun to 1 (one)
Step 3: Close the Registry Editor, and restart the system

Mine is already set to that, clarin. Any other suggestions on what this software did to my system? (I already checked the Run key to make sure it wasn't loading some sort of app to prevent autoplay.)
