I have 2 - 24 port Linksys hubs Model EFAH24 and an 8 port autosensing 10/100 hub.
The notes tell me I can only cascade 2 hubs using the uplink port.

Hi, you can casscade as many hubs as you like. - the link ports on the hubs are just crossed legs ports. thats all there is yo it.
in other words: any two hubs can be connected between them using any of the regular ports if you would use a crossed cable.
some abaut cross cables : in regular ethernet connection using rj45, legs 1-2-3-6 are in use. a regular cable keeps this order. a crossed one conects 1 to 3 2 to 6 3 to 1 and 6 to 2.
email me if you need any more assistant

Not strictly true Gil. You can't place more than 2 hubs in series (cascade) using uplink ports. Each hub is a separate collision domain and I don't think IP packets will cross more than 2 collision domains. You can connect many hubs together by connecting each of the 24 port hubs to a normal port on the 8 port hub using crossover cables.
