When trying to run seemingly any 16-bit app I get the message "This application is not supported by Microsoft Windows NT" with the title "Can't run 16-bit Windows Program". I can't pinpoint exactly when this started happening but the last thing I installed on my machine was the Windows Scripting Host version 1.0 (how do you uninstall this?). I tried refreshing the WOWEXEC DLLs as per MS article Q191690 (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q191/6/90.asp) but no luck.

Try reinstalling a 32-bit ODBC driver.

I have the same problem but with the added joy, i'm not trying to run 16 bit programs but normal 32 bit programs instead. Help, I have an ever growing bald patch through rage. Seeing Bill Gates smiling to the bank does not help either.

Go to the URL listed below. I have seen some follow ups on other web sites that told people to reinstall NT completely. What a bunch of goons! Expanding a few dll's fron the cd to the system32 directory will fix the problem. Good luck.
