I hope someone can help me with this problem. I have changed a machine from a Domain to a Workgroup in order to have temporary access to a local LAN. But when I restarted the computer I cannot log on using the account I used to change the workgroup. So I use the administrator account to log on to windows 2000. I went to change everything back, but now I can't change the PC back to the original Domain because I cannot connect to it for validation (it is a remote login). I also cannot log in as the original user (because the Domain is different), so I now have lost access to my files, mail, desktop, etc. I then set up new profile and recreated my environment, but still cannot retrieve my old "Outlook 2K" email. Is there a way to restore my Domain? and/or profile? Please help...btw, I had to log in as Admin to do the changes, but still cannot restore my old profile. Any ideas?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Please reply as soon as...

First Changing to a workgroup means you logon with accounts that are stationed locally
Means if you used to log on with Jim on the domain means Jim has an account on the domain server not locally on the client computer
Login at the client computer with the local admin account and creat a new account called JimI do not quiet understan what you mean by remote login but I should suggest that you connect the computer to the LAN. login as domain admin to a workgroup then as admin connect the machine to the domain adding a computer account to the domain.exit and log in as a normal user.
The users profile is stored on the computer (client) or if you use roaming profiles it's on the domainserver and will be send over after login is validated
Where is the old email in a pst, ost or on the server ??
Can you send new email and recieve new email ??
