Hi, everyone. I have an older computer that I bought for seventy-five dollars that I'm using. I am probably gonna get another one in the future, but for now, this is the only one I'm using at home.
For some reason, when I tired to install WinZip 7.0, which is the version I like to use and always use, it keeps giving me this stupid error message that says that the time and date stamp on the file readme.txt and the time and date stamp on the setup.exe file don't match. What I don't get is that I checked the properties of both files and sure enough, the dates *did* match, so I don't know what it's talking about. I don't see why that would matter if the dates matched anyway, but apparently it's a major issue. Go figure...
I know for a fact that the particular file isn't corrupted because it's the *exact* same actual file that I've used on other computers. I had backed this particular file up onto a CD and also sent it to myself in an E-mail to ensure that I would have it even if it stopped being available on the Internet. ...So anyway, I know it's not the particular file itself because like I said, that same exact file has worked on other computers.
I also tried just removing the readme.txt file from the directory, but then it still won't work because then it says that it can't find the readme.txt file and that that file is required. ...So I don't know what the problem is or how to get it to work.
If anyone knows how I can fix this problem, please let me know, because this is very irritating because I have a bunch of files that I can't use right now because they're all zipped and I can't unzip them.
Thanks in advance if anyone helps me with this.

Here's something else I need to note.
I just now tried to install the same WinZip file on this computer here at the library, and now it gives me an error message saying that the date and time stamp on the file vendor.txt isn't the same, and then I deleted all the files and used the WinZip 7.0 self-extractor that has all these files in it again in order to totally try to redo everything, and now it's giving me an error message saying that the date and time stamp on the file license.txt doesn't match. What is it with the stupid date and time stamps?! Why does it matter?! And more importantly, how can I get this to stop??
*Please* someone help me with this. It's so irritating!!

One more thing I have to mention.
I just redownloaded the same file from OldApps.com, and when I tried to send it to myself in an E-mail, Yahoo mail said that it found a virus on it. How accurate are those virus-detecting E-mail things? Does it just say that every once in a while with certain files just to make you think that their virus checker actually works but it's all just BS, or is there really something to it if it says that it has a virus?
I don't understand why it would have a virus because that's the same place I downloaded that file from before and it never said anything before about it having a virus when I was sending to myself through E-mail.
Does anyone know about this?
