Can't Edit BIOS on Compaq Armada

August 30, 2011 at 15:31:41
Specs: Windows NT, Pentium MMX?
Okay, so I can get in to the BIOS, but I can't change anything... like boot order so I can uninstall/re-install windows so I can use the darn thing. I got it for free from some farm place but they didn't give me the password to get into windows. Currently, since I can't access windows or edit the boot sequence, it's little more than a paperweight at the moment.

Now, I know this is rather ancient tech, considering what we're all probably running now, but I'd like to use this to save my class notes and stuff. Any advice, pointers, or tips?

Lots of older Compaq machines needed a "Softpaq" (i.e.-bootdisk) to make changes in the BIOS. Need more info on the machine (model#, CPU, RAM) to determine if that's the case.
