Hello,
i have a problem with the sockets on Windows NT Workstation and Outlook 2000. When I connect to the Internet, I can surf with the Internet Explorer 5.0, but when I start Outlook 2000 and would read my E-Mail I get the following error: "Der Server konnte nicht gefunden werden (Konto: "E-Mail Michael", POP3-Server: "xxx", Fehlernummer: 0x800ccc0d). But I can send E-Mails.
What I have to do, does it works to receive my E-Mails the settings are all correct?

this could be due to a DNS error, or if you have a firewall/proxy the ports for POP3 and SMTP are not open. Or simply you have the wrong entry for your pop3 server in Outlook. With some telcos you have to use their connection to get access to POP and SMTP servers, (eg. t-online).

This is because your network administrator has locked the port 110 which is used to recieve mails.
