Have a P3 machine on a local area network runnig Win NT4.0, the clients connect to the server through a hub. the problem persisted when the machine had a motherbord problem, since it was the internet server it had to be working,so i moved the hard drive to one of the work stations and after then the machine could not connect to the domain server. i checked the settings but there was no difference to the old ones. we are using the TCP/IP for connection. i want to connect to the domain server but i can't use auto-configuraton with the DHCP cause the machine is running WIN NT4.0 SERVER. how can i connect again?

If both machines have a built in NIC and you swap drives. The MAC address of the cards may cause a problem if you just chnged the IP Address.
1. Take the offending PC out of the domain. 2.Remove any entries in Server Manager for Domaind on the PDC. 3.Reconnect the PC to the domain.
