Comment:
I have a Western Digital Hard drive that I'm trying to install Windows NT Workstation 4.0 on. I created a 2.1GB FAT16 partition and left the rest of the area unpartitioned. When I do the floppy install, I get an error saying that NT cannot read the drive (to that effect). When I do an install with Winnt /b,and get to the point when I'm going from text base install to GUI install, I get the "blue screen" with "Inaccessible_boot_device" at the top. Can anyone out there help me?

I would start again. Is this a new hard drive? If so, run F-Disk, and set the first partition 2.5GB, and divide the remainder to 2GB or less. Format. Then do your install of NT. Then format again 16 Bit when you are asked.
Were you trying to install NT in the unpartitioned space? If so, that's the problem. NT (system directory) has to be installed within the first 2 gb of the HD.
