Cannot delete : Cannot find the specified file

Comment:
A file is created in MS Word via VBA macros. When the code attempts to "kill" the file, it gets a "file not found" error. I can see the file in Windows Explorer, but if I select the file & try to delete it, I get an error: "Error Deleting File Cannot delet abr03: Cannot find the specified file ..." However, I can open the file from Windows Explorer via Word. From a DOS prompt window, I can "dir" the file & (sort of) "type" the file without any Windows complaints. But if I try to erase the file, NT complains that "The system cannot find the file specified." The file is on a network drive with file system of NWFS (NetWare File System).
Question: - Did you create file and saved it on the Netware Server? Check the pliviges for that account on the Netware Server. You may have only read access on the server.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the Word VBA macros also create another file on same NW server, in same directory & I can delete that other file from Windows Explorer no problem. The problem file, it seems, can be deleted the next day or after a logon/logoff sequence. I haven't done enough testing to determine which is the relevant factor. Maybe the Word VBA macros, or a Word/VBA defect is causing some file remnants or attributes to "hang around" that with time and/or reboot "go away" and then the file can be deleted???
