I cannot change my tcp/ip settings or add local printers even when i am logged on as administrator in my domain (viewing mode). However I can change the properties when I am logged on as administrator locally(same password). Everythings fine and dandy except for the fact that i cannot add a network printer to a local port on the PC. How come when I log on as Administrator to my domain the network neighborhood properties are in viewing mode?!! Anybody have any answers or intelligent responses?

It is becuase the domain account is not in the local administrators group. Log in locally and in the local user manager open Administrators group and add Domain Admins and any other users that you want to have admin rights on the box.
Good Luck Perry

I had this problem due to two reasons: Server service failed with error message in the event log. Fix: Install SP5 or above
NIC drivers weren't right ones for Intel PM+ adapter. Fix: Download right drivers
PS There is no such thing as 'view mode'

Thanx Perry! That was the problem. I added the Domain Admins to the local Administrator group and that fixed the problem. I really appreciate your input. Cheers
