A small LAN has PCs running win98 and win95 and one PC with win nt PDC. The problem is that the win98 PCs can logon to the domain easily, but win95 Pcs can not, at start up it says, Domain server can not be located. how to solve this.

Okay lemme get this straight... Is it one Win95 computer in particular or is it all Win95 computers that can't locate the PDC? If it is just one computer make sure that you have the right drivers for your network card. Also I would like to know which protocol you are using... TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, or NetBEUI? Make sure that you are using the same protocols on all computers on the network. Also I am assuming that this network is probably on a single subnet that doesn't contain any routers or switches?

Thanks for your replay. Yes the problem is just with one win95 PC the other win95 PC is working fine in the network. I am using only TCP/IP. That is true the network on a single subnet that does not contain any routers or switches. Thanx

Okay... on the Win95 system that has the problem type "ping 127.0.0.1" from the cmd prompt, without the quote marks of course. If you get a failed or timed out request then that means that TCP/IP is not properly installed on that system. When you double click on your network neighborhood you will probably not see any other computers in there. If you click on the Entire Network icon you will probably get an error saying something to the effect of "Unable to browe the Network..." If this is the case then you have one of two problems. 1) The drivers for your network card are not properly installed. 2) The network card itself has failed and will need to be replaced.
