Can not join domain

Hi
We have an NT server 4 sp6a with tcp/IP and netbeui, the xp client machines has also installed netbeui and can join the domain. But when I removed the netbeui from the server and client and I re-join the domain, it says no domain found. Same with using wireless.
Why is that? Do I need to do something with the server?

Since NT4 doesn't support DDNS, you need to make sure the server has a WINS server running, and all of your XP clients have the IP address of the NT4 server with WINS server installed configured.

this would indicate to me the nt server has netbeui as the primary bound protocol.
You should only run one protocol, tcp/ip, so there are no binding order issues/confusion.

How can netbeui be the primary bound protocol if he removed it from the server and workstations?
It worked when netbeui was installed, and stopped when it was removed.
