Okay... I think I am going nuts now. I have a reccurent BSOD that comes up almost every time I am accessing the floppy drive on my machine. I replaced the floppy drive and it stopped for a while, but now it is starting again. I have run a registry check from three different registry checkers (Registryfix, Registry Cleaner 5.0 and Error Nuker) and fixed all of the errors they found.

I then tried again to access the floppy, only to get a BSOD.

Here is exactly what it said:

***Stop: 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x80142A54, 0x00000001, 0x00000288) KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED*** Address 80142a54 has base at 80100000 - ntoskrnl.exe

I have no more clue on what could be the cause for this.

Can someone help me out?

Okay... little update on my situation. I did a windows update and downloaded different security patches for Windows NT 4.0. Since then my PC has not crashed due to access to a floppy.

I am not saying it is fully fixed but I am definitly crossing my fingers on this issue.
