This is a problem that has been posted before however I can't get the solution to work. We have a PDC with two Network cards installed. Each has its own subnet addressing scheme (192.9.200.x & 192.9.201.x)
The problem I have is using network neighboorhood on 95,98 and Workstation clients to view the network as a whole. At present we can only browse to computers associated with each subnet address. The server is running WINS and if I use find computer I can find computers on the other subnet, but not view the entire network straight from clicking on network neighborhood. I have tried setting the Browse Master option to Enabled on a computer on each subnet but this has not worked. We are only using the TCP/IP protocol stack. I have also tried installing the NWLinkIpx/Spx protocol on the server as suggested by microsoft as it apparently doesn't perform endpoint pairing.
This hasn't worked either.
Any suggestions/solutions to this now frustrating problem would be greatly appreciated. Also does the WINS application on the PDC require a server entry for each network cards IP address. At present we have an entry for each. Could this be adding to the problem. Please help.

I suggest you impliment a LMHOST file.

There is a sample file that comes with NT called lmhost.sam, use a text editor and pay very close attention to the registry edit that is required.

Also do a search at Microsoft support if you need more details

Cheers

If you want NetBios browse lists to be built using NWLink you will need to make sure that NWLink is the first protocol bound to the nic.

Depends if your MHC uses static or dynamic routing. I assume ip fowaring is selected.
Should build a routing table.
If using DHCP enable it to handle wins & DNS.
Win9.x can`t join a domain, user account makes this possible.
Domain master browser should be passing list to other subnets master browser.
If your in the registry (don`t flinch)
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Services\Browser\Parameters\MaintainServerList-------should be set to auto for member servers. YES Domain controllers. No for PCs shut down often & mobiles.
