I copied my SCSI hard disk ,with NT4.0 service pack 4, using drivecopy to a new larger IDE drive.
At bootup I'm getting a blue screen with
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE and a lot of code language. Booting stops here and the only way out is a cold boot leading to the same result.

Any ideas

I've found something on this link conserning your boot problem.
A little test: try to install a fresh copy of Windows on the SCSI HD to check if the setup program finds the HD; if it does not you'll have to search for the appropriate drivers.
