+ I have tried to install NT on my home PC (128 MB RAM, Celeron 500Mhz) but after NT install copy files and reboot, I got blue dump screen with error INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE and the machine is hang.
+ My machine is fresh. HDD is formatted with Win98 bootdisk.
+ When I searched in MS support site. It said that may be IDE controller and atapi.sys of NT is incompatible.
+ Does any one help?

Have You Check All Your Device in NT Hardware Compability List (HAL) ? Or Check your motherboard is it support ACPI power management Or try to upgrade your system BIOS.

Some thoughts...
You used a '98 boot-disk to format the HD - did you set it to FAT32???
If so then that's part of the problem...
Start over after running Fdisk on the '98 boot-disk to remove all partitions; do not re-establish any. When using NT set-up (floppies or booting from the CD, if possible...) you can select and configure partitions on the HD as you prefer... I suggest you have at least two - a Primary for NT OS itself and an Extended area for data etc...
If your HD is larger than 7.8Gig you will also need to address that issue too.
Visit John Savill's FAQ's at:
http://www.windows2000faq.com
(part of http://www.win2000mag.com)
Installations section; and browse for relevant item (using HD's larger than 7.8Gig); he gives you all the relevant info...

get NT hard drive controller drivers from the vendor and use that 3rd party driver option at setup- the microsoft ones included with NT seldom work.

I had the same problem when I installed Win2K on my new PC. It would get all the way through setup, but when trying to run for the first (or any) time, it would BSOD on me and give me the INACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error. Turns out I had a boot sector virus that was never obvious until I tried to modify the boot sector. Run a virusscaner on it, and destroy any infected floppies. Hope this helps,
Shane
