hello,

a friends office has upgraded computers, and i bought a tower before they head off to auction,
big problem is nobody knows the bios password as comps was serviced by another company.

is there anyway i can disable bios password, or find password.

also can i find the admin password for windows?
i have 4 user password+ ids + windows key and disc, (wont restore due to admin pass in win) one has full access but some things im trying to do requires admin password, again service company has this password ( contract has run out and friends boss has not had much luck in getting this info )

its a windows nt work station with dual xeon processors 4 HDDs, with tons of netwrok kit thrown in for free :)

ALSO - i would like to upgrade to win xp-pro , will there be any problems ?

any ideas ?

consult the mainboard manual for the jumper setting to clear the cmos. This will clear the bios password.

Don't waste you time on trying to get the admin passwords. Just install XP [if the machine has enough ram].
