Comment: Dear All, I am a new comer for this forum. I now having a backup issue. I've got two domain, both a running NT4.0. But domain B has new add a 2000 AD. Server. I try to use Arcserver on the 2000 server to copy the database on Domain A (PDC), but it seems doesn't work. Always prompt Bad User Name or invalid parameter. I have follow all the instructions on ca.com, but still can't copy. Does anyone have this kind of experience?

Reply: (edit)Advice: Stop using that travesty of a product (ArcServe) and get Veritas Backup Exec. Now on to the issue: You have 2 Domains: (A) NT4 and (B) 2000 AD You are using ArcServe on a server in (B) and trying to backup a database in (A). What database are you referring to? Is this SQL? Do you mean the NT System State? Do you have a trust setup between the two domains? Why are you trying to backup between domains? Why are they not both 2000 AD? This may be easier if you just install the backup software on (A) and backup from there to a remote media server (B). As you can see you have a lot to consider.
