I went to "administrative tools > user manager for domains" to add a new user in Backup Domain Controller (BDC), it failed and doesn't allow me to do/change anything on existing and creating new user. I received the following error message:

Start by looking up the error on MS's web site. I would search both Technet and Knowledge base. I would even do a google search since MS have been cycling out their NT info from their databases.
You should look at your event viewer logs on both servers. Reboot the servers and reapply service pack 6a is sop for starts.
See where your searches take you.

PDC & BDC communicate through RPC protocal. Go to services which is in control panel & start the service.(rpc) & also check whether netlogon service is stopped or paused (just start it),because it is used for synchronisation b/w PDC & BDC

Hi Scorpio,
It seems that both RPC and Net logon are started automatically. Both services were running when i checked them as like u've said previously. The problem still persists.
