Hi
Can some-one give me some suggestion on what is best to do.
We have a PDC that all users login and saves files to it. What I want to do is incase the computer breaks down the user can still login and continue to access all the existing files and save to it.
Is it best to setup a BDC (which I think just means they can only login if the PDC goes down but there files can't be access, or do I setup a service directory replicator on the PDC to the BDC to replicate all the data.
Is it better to buy a 3rd party (Arc serve) that claims to do all that on more that one PDC. As we have two PDC.
Sorry for the long description as I'm new to this. Thanks for any suggestion in advance.

Ken,
Having at least one BDC is ALWAYS a good idea. With only a PDC you are skating on thin ice. Your files are another issue...you can use file synchronization, thats true. There is also a program called Double Take that might help you out. Myself ? I just use hardware raid so I can survive a failed drive.

Hi
Thanks for the reply, where can I download double take?. Is hardware raid same as a mirror hard discs inside the NT server?
