Hi Everyone

Does anyone know how to make the computer turn off when doing START->SHUTDOWN->SHUTDOWN THIS COMPUTER instead of manually turning the machine off. Windows 95 and 98 both auto turn off when doing a shutdown.

Hope someone can help me

Rory

As far as I know, Auto power off is a function of the motherboard, and as such needs no setup on P&P operating systems. Try looking on the motherboard driver disc, or try installing Win2K.

We have some dell machines running NT 4.0, and they auto power down, but they were preconfigured.

Hope that helps
