Hello,
Yesterday, I removed the three weekend backup tapes that were used this past weekend and inserted three blank tapes for the next weekend backup jobs. At around 6 PM, I initialized the database ASTPSDAT using the DBMGR.exe utility because it had grown over 2GB. This morning, when I came in and checked my e-mail, I did not see the e-mail notification (like I should for every backup job) for the Monday backup job, which was executed normally at its scheduled time as indicated in the ARCServe Activities Log. No changes has been made to the configuration of any backup jobs that I am aware of. Here, we have NT 4.0 servers and Exchange 5.0 running on another server by itself. What could be the reason that I did not receive the e-mail notification? Please help. Where can I check on ARCServe to see if it has sent the notifications?
