I am trying to install Norton Anti-Virus on one of our NT server 4.5 machines here. However, when I try to run the installer, on the first screen I get the message "error 25007: transman.dll could not be loaded" and the setup terminates. Any idea why this happens?

Well, I could be cynical and say it is because it is Windows NT AND Norton Anti-Virus, two pieces of software which are notorious for compatibility issues....but I will be neutral on that mute point.
I would first make sure the copy of Norton you have is compatible with Windows NT, as well as that all patches and SP's are loaded on the server. I would also make sure no other anti-virus or "system tray" programs are running currently when you try to install. If there are, exit out of everything to install cleanly with nothing running.
My next suggestion would be where my cynical nature comes in toward those products... either upgrade to Windows 2000 Advanced Server, OR use a different Anti-Virus package that is available for Windows NT. :) I advise against Norton...

Though i tend to disagree with the fellow above, I would say it has to do with your Microsoft Windows Installer.
This is assuming that you are installing NAV Corporate edition (7.5, 7.51, 7.60)
There are some issues also. Please make sure to have completely uninstalled the old version if present. Regardless whether you know if there is or not, check the registry to make sure
Get the windows installer cleanup utility from Microsoft and then remove the entries from NAV corp edition

Get this. I have been having this same problem when installing 7.6 over a network from one location but i tryed to install it from another location and it work fine. (It was on the same boot.) Go figure.

I've got the same Problem under Windows 2000 Server.
AntiVirus wasn't installed before, there is nothing to uninstall.
What else can i do??
