when i log on to a net work as adinistrator i only get basic user rights. this is the only machie on the network which suffers fron this problem, and i have checked the permission settings against another machine ant there all ok. if any one could offer any advise or tell me of a possible cause i would be greatfull

What are you trying to do that gives you this impression?

Are you in a domain? Is this the Local Administrator account or the Domain Administrator account?
