administrator has no rights to user home dir

Comment:
I created a share which I named home on nt4 server. In user manager I created the users with a home dir on that share. the home dirs were created by nt giving the user sole rights to the home dir. The administrator doesn't have rights to these home dirs. Can anyone tell me why, and how I can fix it?

2 ways:
1. Map the folder to the administrator's machine, open properties, goto security, add Administrator to folder.
2. Use server manager to add Administrator in Permissions.

I have another way... You could goto shares and take ownership and still leave the user with sole rights! Don't know if this will help but that is what I do most of the time. This adds the admin to the group I believe.

None of these solutions work in the circumstance access is granted only to the user whom the directory is assigned. The NTFS security will not allow the administrator to take ownership of a directory they don't have access to. If you try to the only option is to REPLACE the current security with Administrator rights, thus removing the user. Is there a way to add security for the administrator without removing the current security? This would be helpful, as I don't want to manually reset the security for each user directory.
