I'd like to use the Web Access feature on an Exchange Server I'm about to set up, but it will require IIS and a lot more study and preparation on my part. The company just wants basic e-mail up on Monday.
My question: Can I add the Web Access component to the Exchange server at some point in the future, or do I have to install all components up-front? Has anyone added Web Access to an established Exchange Server successfully? Is it as simple as running a custom Exchange setup and only checking the Web Access option?
I would do it all now if time and skill permitted, but I'm in a time crunch and still unsure how I will even get the internet e-mail connectivity working. It would be much better to add the Web Access stage further down the road, but I don't want to find out later that it's not possible. You never know.
Thanks very much.

Yea do it later.
And if you install IIS - it will be version 2.0 likely.
Get the NT Option paq and upgrade it to IIS 4.0 - you do not wanna run around with just IIS 2.
Then of course apply SP 5 again...
Hope this helps.

Yes, you can add it later. You will need to first install the option pack with IIS 4.0. Then install Outlook Web Access support to Exchange with your Exchange CDROM. The option pack installs support for Active Server Pages (ASP) which is required before you install Web Access components to Exchange.
There is alot of configuration and setup involved to make it work, let me know if you come up with specific questions...
