Hello,
We currently run 5 WINNT servers 4 applications servers and a file and print server. The problem I have is that when I add/create a new user to the nerwork the new users profile does not have access to the file/print server and brings up a login at the bottom of the display. Also it gives the new user access to all applications(as if logged on as Administrator). So far to fix this problem we reboot all servers which works fine but we would rather not have to keep rebooting.

The add/create user process is as follows:
first we log onto one of the App servers as Administrator and add a user. Then log off the App server and log onto the File/Print server and from Home directory add a new folder for the user making sure the folder is shared and the new user has authority granted.

Thanks,

Roland

are you in a domain with member servers or workgroup setup?

Reapply service pack 6a to all servers as a start. What defrag utility are you using on the servers?
