When I try to install HP 4050en JetAdmin Network Print to NT 4 Domain Workstation
I get an error message stating that I "do not have enough permissions to the local workstation and the printer must be install locally". I can install the printer only when I login with Domain Administrator Account
but it does not work for domain user accounts. I did check the permissions on the server and Everybody group is setup to print to the network printer. Anybody??

Need some more info please.
are you talking about connecting a print server to your workstation, physically adding a printer to the workstation or just trying to add a printer through the add printer wizard.

The first one. I am trying to install a print a print server queue on the workstation. It is a JetAdmin HP laser 4050en that is connected to the LAN with internal jetadmin card, has static ip assigned, and has a NT shared print queue setup on the PDC. I can add the shared printer to all workstations within this single domain w/o problems while logged in as a member of domain user group. On the above workstation when I ligin as a member of domain use group I am getting the following error while trying to add the net printer with add network printer wizard. " you do not have enough permissions to Your computer to complete the operation. The drivers must be installed locally". Well that workstation is a part of the domain so all domain resources that are shared and have permissions assigned to domain users to use them should be accessible right.
Hope that helps. Thanks Lee.

I would check again and make sure the Admin group is added to the local machine. Login to the local workstation and check the Administrators Group to see if Domain Administrators are in this group.
