I wasn't sure which section to post this under, as the problem is experienced from Windows 98. I have tried many times to access my NT4 machine from my Windows 98 machine, but I always get "You must supply a password to make this connection". I type in the administrator password for the NT machine and it tells me the password is incorrect. I went into Remote Access in NT and tried to set the NT machine as a remote access server in case that was the cause of the problem, but it gave me an error saying the service title was invalid. I then went into Users & Groups, but I see no way of adding remote users. What I want to do is add the NT machine's printer onto the 98 machine as a network printer, but until I can get round this password problem on Windows 98 I can't. Tommy.

create a user account in NT and set a password. Logon to 98 with that account and passwd. share the printer with no restrictions. That should be all there is too it. Undo the RAS setup as it may interfer. Golly gee wilerkers everyone! Learn to Internet Search
