Comment:

I turned off an nt4 server that i have and when i tried to restart it I get the message 178 system security error vpd not available. This happens after the memory check and locks up the system. Turning the system off and restarting does not help. Any ideas on how to get this working again?

Thanks

Michael

Thanks for your assistance on this. I was afraid that it was going to be a system board and not a programming change.

Regards

Michael

No problem, glad you found the answer, IBM are very reliable but these things do happen. Nice to get a response to a thread to give it closure.
