We've got an exchange 5.5 SP3 and clients that connects to get their mail.

The Outlook XP of one of the users seems to try to pop emails every single
seconds with this sequence in the Eventviewer on the server...
The user is on another subnet.

11100 - POP3 connection accepted from "user IP".
11103 - POP3 connection to "user IP" lost.
11203 - A POP3 client "user IP" successfully logged on to the mailbox /user

This sequence repeats itself every single seconds.

I've checked the option for automatic Send & Receive and it is set at 3
minutes.

thank you
