Hi,
my IIS 4.0 on the NT server stops automatically. I will start the service when hit the "play" button, but it stops for about 5 mins... what's wrong??

What does the event viewer show you? If there are problems, it should show up there.
If you're not auditing enough information, go into user manager, select "Policies" "Audit..." and turn on everything. Then start the service again, and check the logs.

If there is nothing in the event viewer, it could be a hacker. We had someone using the Unicode hole to execute a stop command at a prompt. If you haven't patched up your iis, then go to MS and install the patches.

I have the exactly the same problem but I have already installed many patches, even the most recent (up to july 01) but the problem still persist.
