Have you tried uninstalling it then installing fresh copy? It worked for me!

hello open configure and uncheck the option to search for updates.if you wish to not run za at startup[kinda defaets the purpose]simply uncheck load za at startup. if for whatever reason you ever need to reistall za go to their site and follow the instructios give there to the letter.

but it never dialled up before and it still started up at startup and ive not downloaded anything new the only thing that was done was zone alarm 2.6 to zone alarm 3.............check for updates is unchecked as advised to do on the win xp site(as thats why i upgraded it as i was told the 2.6 version was no use for xp which ill be getting shortly........

When you upgrade to Windows XP, you will want to uninstall your Firewall and Anitvirus first so they do not interfere with the installation of XP.
If you are going to be getting XP soon, why not uninstall it now, then reinstall once you have installed XP?
