Recently, I have uninstalled the newest version of Yahoo Messenger. However, I noticed that not all of it was deleted. I found out that when I go into the "Tools" section, the "Yahoo Messenger" icon is still there. On top of that, when I go into my toolbar, I see the "Yahoo Messenger Explorer Bar" in there. I want to be able to get rid of the Yahoo Messenger from the Tools section as well as the Yahoo Messenger Explorer Bar from the toolbar completely. I have had this problem before and I had someone fix it for me. I know you have to tap into your registry, but how do you get into the registry in order to get rid of both the yahoo messenger icon and the yahoo messenger explorer bar? I would appreciate step by step instructions, Thanx.

To make things clear, I go into the tools section and I see the "Yahoo Messenger" icon along with "Related Links" All I want to do is to delete both the yahoo messenger icon in the tools section and the yahoo messenger explorer bar icon in the toolbar. How do I tap into the Registry with Windows Me?

go to start, run, type regedit, then slowly go through each item and close it before going to the next, till you find what your looking for....Make sure you make a back-up of your registery, and system on floppy "just in case"

Andrew,
If you just want to remove these icons why not just drag then to the recycle bin?

Thanx Response #3 and #4, I got the yahoo messenger icon and the yahoo messenger explorer bar taken care of. After a few tries, I was successful at deleting them. Now I know how to take care of this situation if I ever run across it again. Thanx again.

Somebody is sending me offline messages. I never see him on-line bcoz i connect only in the night times or sometime in the afternoon. This man is giving me the messages at his convenient times. I would like to know at what times he will connect to messenger. Is there any way to track his timings by keeping the YM active on my desktop for the whole day. I mean, I won't be there sitting infront of desktop but my YM will be active and I keep myself on-line also wherein some other programe should able to capture the status and timing of those people in my address book of YM. Can somebody help me in this please. I think it should be possible.
