Hello,
Can somebody please help me.I am running Windows ME and i went to start up my computer this morning and it went to a start up menu that read:
1. Normal
2. logged (/BOOTLOG.TXT)
3. Safe Mode
4. Step By Step Confirmation

Warning: Windows has detected a registry/configuration error.
Use SCANREG to fix this error.

I have tried each option and nothing works. When i tried safe mode it went to a grey screen with the words "safe mode" in each corner of the screen with nothing on it.

When i tried Normal Mode, It said

"Registry File was not found. Registry services may not be operative for this session.
XMS Cache problem. Registry services may not be operative this session."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I dont remember exactly but I had to use scanreg /rebuild or /repair or /fix to rebuild my registry. Try that.
