What is Wuauclt? Why do I keep getting an error message: Wuauclt has caused an error in unknown . Wuauclt will now close.

Happens mostly while using IE5.5 and/or Outlook2000. Any suggestions?????????????

Jeff: I'm having the same problem, and when the error starts I can't get out of the loop - each time I click on "ENDTASK" the dialogue box goes away and then reappears. I also can't shut down the computer short of turning off the power supply. I found your question with a WEB search - did you receive any replies?
Thank you, Pat

That error occurs because of the "automatic updates" feature in windows ME. What
you can do is go to Automatic Updates in control panel and turn off the automatic
updating.
