Jeff: I'm having the same problem, and when the error starts I can't get out of the loop - each time I click on "ENDTASK" the dialogue box goes away and then reappears. I also can't shut down the computer short of turning off the power supply. I found your question with a WEB search - did you receive any replies? Thank you, Pat

WUAUCLT has caused ERROR
That error occurs because of the "automatic updates" feature in windows ME. What you can do is go to Automatic Updates in control panel and turn off the automatic updating.
